Every single one of our runners who did their Manchester 10k training with the #MileShyClub Sale turned up to take on the challenge today. And everyone finished! Despite the heat being incredibly tough, our runners had a fantastic fun time and we couldn't have asked for a better day. Not only did our runners perform superbly, but we also appeared on the BBC television channel, with a whole feature on our runner Lisa, and how the #MileShyClub has helped her! We are chuffed to bits!

Club founder Jane ran the hottest London marathon on record at the weekend. Here is a message from Jane, together with a link to an article she wrote about the experience:
"Running the London marathon was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I am little late on the thank you’s to everyone that has supported me, but I wanted to share my story of the day with everyone in the best way I know how, a written account! I cannot express how thankful I am to everyone who showed me their support throughout the lead up to this race and on the day. Today over 20 of of us had a blast helping as Manchester marathon marshals along Washway Road and next to Dane Road in Sale. We had a fantastic time cheering on the runners, chatting to spectators, and most importantly, keeping everyone safe and secure on route. We felt very official in our marshal jackets, although some of us donned tutu's for added impact! Congratulations to #MileShyClub coach Gordy who on his first serious marathon debut completed the race in a very impressive 3 hours 19 minutes. What a guy!

This weekend has quite possibly been the best #MileShyClub weekend... ever. Saturday saw well over 20 of us get up super early to make ParkRun courtesy of Delamere Forest, and this morning saw our newbies work amazingly hard in the sleet and snow. Our runners are simply inspirational. #noonegetsleftbehind
We started the #MileShyClub on the 8th January 2017. So last night, we were surprised by some of our lovely members with cake, which was very well received after our Tuesday Sale session!
Freezing cold temperatures, a last minute change of route due to ice, and two AMAZING coaches Loveness and James! What are we talking about? Beginners running club, the #MileShyClub Newcastle started this evening with a fantastic turnout and a brilliant session! Well done everyone who turned out and roll on next Monday!
