MILESHYCLUB TAKES IT'S MESSAGE TO PARLIAMENT

We’re incredibly proud that MileShyClub CEO, Jane, was invited to Parliament by Connor Rand MP to talk about the work we do in our communities. During her visit Jane met Parliamentary Private Secretary David Burton Sampson MP to discuss the Government’s ten year health plan and its ambition to shift healthcare from treating sickness towards prevention.

Jane highlighted the vital role that small charities and grassroots organisations like MileShyClub can play. We’re embedded in our communities, know people by name and reach those who may never access traditional gyms, leisure centres or health services. She also highlighted the need for grassroots organisations to be properly supported and funded if prevention is genuinely going to be at the heart of future healthcare.

It’s a real privilege to see all the hard work our volunteers put in every day across our MileShyClub communities being recognised and shared at the heart of Parliament.
