NO ONE GETS LEFT BEHIND SINCE 2017

Here at MileShyClub we believe everyone deserves the chance to feel healthier, happier and more confident - no matter your starting point. We’re a registered charity dedicated to helping people become more active in order to improve both their mental and physical wellbeing. If you’ve never exercised before, feel nervous about joining a group or think running “isn’t for you” then you’re exactly who we’re here for.

Established in 2017, we are well known for our beginner running and walking clubs which are designed to help you every step of the way. We also offer two FREE mental health support groups - safe spaces where you can move, connect and grow at your own pace.

With numerous clubs across Trafford, Salford, Stockport and Manchester there’s a place for you here. Take that first step - we’ll make sure you don’t take it alone.

What We've Achieved

  • Since MileShyClub started in 2017 we have encouraged thousands of non-runners through Couch To 5K who have gone on to run 10Ks, half marathons, marathons, ultra marathons and take part in duathlons, triathlons and HYROX events.

  • We are now one of the biggest running clubs in Manchester (and the UK) with 6,000 members at 15 running clubs across the city.

  • We have supported more than 50 of our runners through the England Athletics LiRF qualification to become part of our wonderful volunteer coaching team.

  • We started a womens only club that takes place indoors to ensure privacy for those who find exercising outdoors or in mixed-gender spaces difficult - making sure no one gets left behind.

  • We started a walking group inside the Trafford Centre for those with accessibility needs or disabilities - making sure no one gets left behind.

  • We started community walking groups for those taking their first steps into fitness - making sure no one gets left behind.
